Fused Cast Refractories (Fire Bricks)
Fused cast ceramic materials are used in many industries including glass, iron & steel, aluminum, petrochemistry or wear resistant applications. Fused cast refractories which are formed by melting refractory material in a carbon electrode electric arc furnace 1900-2500°C followed by casting and annealing are treated with oxygen while in the molten state to place the constituents in the most highly oxidized state.
