Specialty Coating

A type of coating; a clear film that is applied to the top surface of a face material before or after it has been printed to create a protective coating. A protective coat is designed to protect the face material and print of a label from being damaged by environmental factors such as abrasion, light, chemicals, and moisture.

To be able to safeguard such a range of structures and equipment across these many areas, protective coatings have to meet a number of performance requirements. Protective coatings are extremely valuable, given that the types of structures they protect are often very expensive, long-lasting and are required to maintain their structural integrity in extreme conditions—because failure to do so could result in critical damages or even loss of life.
